Soviet actress Valentina Khmara was born in 1933 in Moscow. Her parents, by the nature of their work, were far from the world of cinema, but they strove to instill a sense of beauty in the souls of their two daughters. The future actress from childhood was interested in literature, poetry, theater. After school, she applied to all theatrical educational institutions in Moscow, but to no avail. And only on the third attempt she was able to enter VGIK in 1953.
For the first time in a movie she starred in the first year in the film Nadezhda S. Gerasimova - her teacher.
