Honored People's Artist of the Russian Soviet Republic Yevgeny Ageev was born in 1906 in the village of Kuznetsk, now territorially it is the Penza region. In 1920, Eugene first appeared on the stage of the theater and played his first small role, which determined the future profession for the boy. When it came time to submit documents for obtaining a specialty, Ageev entered the State Theater College in Saratov. At the age of 22, a serious acting life began for Zhenya.
The first premiere roles as an artist took place on the stage of the Saratov Theater, then began to wander around in different studios. Ageev played in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and everywhere he was successful. The viewer remembered the roles of Evgeny Ageev as Othello and King Lear in the plays of W. Shakespeare, Lopakhin in the play The Cherry Orchard, Vershinin in the play Three Sisters of A. Chekhov, Ozol in the play Shot by the author A. Bezymenny, the image of Chibisov in the delivery of N. Pogodina in Man with a gun and many others. The first film with Evgeny Ageev was seen by the audience in 1926 under the title Anxiety, where he played a small role of an ordinary worker. The premiere of the next film with the participation of the actor took place exactly nine years later in 1935 - Conduit, in 1937 the film The Sailor's Daughter was released. The real popularity and recognition came to Eugene after the presentation of the film Peter the First in 1937, directed by V. Petrov. After that, the public saw several more films, so in 1939 - Fighters, and in 1941 the film Sea Hawk. Merits on the path of the actor were highly appreciated by the Stalin Prize of the third degree and the love of the audience.
The artist died in the city of Chelyabinsk, in 1976.
