The inimitable and brilliant Jacques Villeret was born in 1951 in the family of Frenchwoman Anna Bonin and Algerian Ahmet Boufrour. It so happened that his parents separated when Jacques was still an infant, and the boy spent most of his childhood in his uncle's family. After studying at the Tours Conservatory, Villeret moved from his hometown of Lone to Paris, where he became a student of the famous actor Louis Seigner, and from 1972 he began to take an active part in various theatrical productions, playing on the best stages in Paris, Lyon and Reims.

A year later, the world will see the first film with Jacques Villeret - a war drama directed by Yves Boisset RAS, although the actor will receive universal recognition only in 1976, immediately after the release of Claude Lelouch's film The Good and the Bad. From that moment, the beginning of a close and fruitful collaboration between Villeret and Lellouche was laid: later the actor will appear in eight more films of this director, and for participation in one of them he will even receive his first statuette, Cesar (Robert and Robert), as the best supporting performer.

By the way, the roles of Jacques Villeret were often of a secondary nature - here, in the background, his star shone, sometimes eclipsing even the leading characters with its radiance. He was a good-natured fat man, a man of the people, a shapeless peasant, a great lover of red wine - this is how the viewer will remember him.

Among the best cinematic works of Villeret, one should highlight the fantastic comedy Cabbage Soup (1981), the dramatic thriller Adventurers (1984), in which the actor played with Jean-Paul Belmondo, the crime comedy Robbery (1985) with the same Belmondo in the title role, the cult the humorous story of Francis Weber, Dinner with an Asshole (1998) and many others.

Villeret died in January 2005 at the age of 51 from internal bleeding.

Jacques Villeret has gray eyes, naturally dark hair, fair skin and full lips. The shape of the face is round, the forehead is high, the hair is curly, gray. Jacques Villeret did not change his hair color, preferring natural. The actor has a small, wide nose and a rounded chin. Jacques Villeret sometimes let go of his mustache. The actor's height is 166 cm, no tattoos.
