Oleg Dal was born in May 1941 in Lyublino (now one of the districts of Moscow), in the family of an engineer and a teacher. From an early age he suffered from heart problems. But the disease did not prevent Oleg from entering the drama school after graduation, despite the fact that his parents did not approve of the choice of his son. As a result, the guy successfully graduates from the theater.

The first film with Oleg Dahl - My little brother, will appear on the screens in 1962, and he will immediately get the main role in it. Next year, 2 tapes are released at once, which are of great importance for his film career: the melodrama The First Bus and the drama The Man Who Doubted. Actually, each new work of his was successful: either his merit was that with his talent (and he played mainly leading characters) he “brought” the picture to the required, high level, or he had an amazing flair for high-quality tapes, or both are correct. He played in 45 films, and none of them was a failure, he cannot be called a characteristic actor, on the contrary, the range of his roles is very wide. Films with the participation of Oleg Dahl, which are worth paying special attention to: the military melodrama Zhenya, Zhenechka and Katyusha; another war film about the dangerous (and not so) everyday life of a combat squadron - Chronicle of a dive bomber; a story for the whole family shown in The Old, Old Tale; drama King Lear; the struggle between light and shadow in the picture Shadow; adventure tape Sannikov Land; drama Bad good person; film about Soviet intelligence during the Second World War - Option "Omega"; a drama about the Decembrists and, more importantly, about their desperate and fearless wives - the Star of Captivating Happiness and one of the actor's last works - the drama Vacation in September.
