Soviet actor Osip Abdulov was born on November 16, 1900 in the Polish city of Lodz. When Osip was 13, his family moved to Moscow, where he studied at the gymnasium and entered the Faculty of Law at Moscow University.
While still a student, Osip studied dramatic art in the Science and Art club section. Seriously carried away, he went to work professionally in acting in the studio of Gayrot, and later in the studio of Chaliapin.
