Actor, playwright.
In the 60s he played in the Leningrad Youth Theater, in the Leningrad Drama Theater named after V.F. Komissarzhevskaya. Then he joined the troupe of the Leningrad Comedy Theater.
Since the mid-70s, he left his career as a theater and film actor and switched to drama. Performances based on his works were staged in many cities of the country and neighboring countries. The staging of his play "The Street Hunter" at the theater of Tatiana Doronina was the last.
On February 3, 2010, Alexey Yakovlev died of cardiac arrest.
