Born on January 15, 1946 in Moscow.
Graduated from the Gorky Theater School (teachers V. Levkoev, Golendeev). After graduation, he worked at the Vladimir Regional Drama Theater, then at the Moscow Regional Youth Theater. Since 1985 - actor of the Moscow Regional Drama Theater A.N. Ostrovsky. Since 1995 he has collaborated with Nikita Mikhalkov's "TriTe" film studio. One of the best performers of negative characters in Soviet and Russian cinema.
