Born on January 21, 1960 in the Tashkent region, in the city of Almalyk (then - the Uzbek SSR) .
Three years after the birth of their son, the Kharatyan family moved to the Moscow region.
In high school, Dmitry became interested in sports, studied music and played in a school ensemble.
