A talented actor Nikolai Iosifovich Slezka is a native of the village of Ivanitsa, in the Chernihiv region, where he was lucky enough to be born in 1928 on April 3.
After completing his secondary education, he served in the army, and in 1954 he successfully passed the competitive selection to the Kiev Theater Institute. Nikolay Slezka is one of the few graduates who received several offers from the management of various theaters at once. But the young actor chose the Odessa Drama Theater. Theatergoers of the older generation remember very well his wonderful roles as Shelmenko in Shelmenko the Batman, Solopiy Cherevik in the Sorochinskaya Fair and many others.
For two years (1963-1965) the actor worked as a member of the Russian military theater in Poland.
N. Slezka came to Russian cinema in 1973, agreeing to the proposal of director V. Isakov to play the role of Pavel Chekalyuk in his new film Until the Last Minute. The next work of Tears in the cinema was the main role of Nikolai Taran in the film Farewell, Pharaohs! (1974). Later, new films with Nikolai Slezka, My Dear (1975), Accusation (1983), Bright Personality (1989), For Whom the Prison Cries (1991), Monsieur Robin (1994) and others, were released.
