Born in the Italian city of Padua, currently lives in Los Angeles. In Italy he worked as a film critic, published several books and essays in English and Italian. After graduating from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Padua, he entered the film school of the University of Los Angeles. After finishing it, he started producing.
He was the producer of the films "Obsessed", "Smoking Allowed", "Brake", remake of "The Bad Lieutenant", "Wall Street 2". "The Messenger" is his first screenplay to be directed in the USA.
Alessandro is also the author of the film adaptation of Chancellor's Manuscript (planned to star in Leonardo DiCaprio), Killer (alleged director David Fincher) and Land of the Living.
