He graduated from school, studying in which he paid special attention to philosophy and the plastic arts. He served in the army. After serving together with comedians (Bruno Salomon, Eric Collado, Eric Massot, Emmanuelle Joukla) he created the group "Nous C Nous", with which he recorded the disc of the same name.
In 1999 he got his first role on television - in the series Boy and Girl in a duet with Alexandra Lamy, in which he starred for 4 years. Since 2001, after fame on television, Jean goes to the cinema. He auditioned for different genres, but adventurous comedies such as Car Keys, The Wedding and Brice the Magnificent brought him real fame. Dujardin was officially recognized as one of the best comedians in France and he continued to develop his comic talent.
Comedy with Dujardin was a great success. In 2006, he starred as Agent 117 in Agent 117: Cairo - The Spy's Nest. This nostalgic parody comedy brought great success to Jean, he was recognized not only in France, but throughout Europe, and even in the USA. The film itself entered the top ten highest-grossing films in France in 2006, and was watched by 2.3 million people. Dujardin's image of Agent 117 helped further his fame. Comedy after comedy followed: "Do not renounce", "Devil's cell phone", "99 francs". But in all these films, only Agent 117 was recognized in Jean, and he was unhappy with this, believing that he was capable of other comic images.
However, he had the great honor of starring in "Dirty Scammers", where he played a gangster, not like Agent 117. The film did not bring him as much fame as "117". Jean was very lucky with the sequel: Michel Hazanavicius, director of "117", invited Jean to star in the sequel - "Agent 117: Mission to Rio", to which Jean gladly agreed. The film was a huge success in France, it was watched by 2.4 million people, the film was more successful than the first. However, in other European countries, the film was received mediocre, considering the first film more successful. In the same year, Dujardin signed a contract with Hazanavicius to shoot five more films about Agent 117. At the moment, films about Agent 117 are popular along with films about James Bond.
2011 was a landmark year for Jean Dujardin's career - the actor starred in the silent romantic comedy of an old friend Michel Hazanavicius' The Artist. The film was well received by most of the world's film critics and received many film awards and awards.
On February 26, 2012 Jean Dujardin won the Oscar for Best Actor.
