In 1975, immediately after leaving school, he unsuccessfully tried to enter the Karpenko-Kary Kiev Theater Institute, but the next year he became a student at the Shchukin Moscow Theater School (class of Alla Kazanskaya and Vladimir Poglazov), which he graduated in 1980 .
Since 1980 - actor of the Evgeny Vakhtangov Theater.
