American actor Tom Skerritt came to this world on August 25, 1933 in a city with a highly developed criminal world - Detroit. The father of the future star was a businessman, and his mother was a housewife, so the family atmosphere could not be called even relatively close to the theater or cinema. Nevertheless, Tom was eager to learn and find his place in life: after school he studied at Wayne University and continued his studies at the famous University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). So the measured life would have flowed, until in 1962, by the will of fate, Skerrit was on the set of the military drama The Hunt's War. His character turned out to be so vivid and memorable that director Robert Altman invited him to his picture The Military Field Hospital, which later became a film classic. After that, films with Tom Skerrit's participation began to come out with enviable regularity: Wild Tramps, Harold and Maud, Kumbs, Thieves like us, Turning Point, The Smoked - all these tapes contributed to the development and strengthening of the actor's popularity and confirmed his relevance.

Deciding to change his role and get rid of the label of the hero of war films, Skerrit responded to the offer of director Ridley Scott to take part in the filming of the sci-fi film Alien. The commercial success was very high, which allowed the actor to significantly increase his fee. The subsequent roles of Tom Skerritt were often full of psychological overtones. In addition, Tom began to appear in films with world-class stars, whom he himself could give a head start to. In the film adaptation of Stephen King's book The Dead Zone, Skerritt's partners on the set were Christopher Walken and Martin Sheen; in Steel Magnolias - Darryl Hannah, Julia Roberts and country singer Dolly Parton. In addition, Skerrit took part in the filming of such films as Best Shooter and the third part of Poltergeist. Another leap into a radically different image was the role in the erotic tape Wild Orchid 2: Two Shades of Sadness.

Tom Skerritt's cinematic life did not freeze for a minute: the actor was constantly busy and starred in a total of 160 films, directed three films himself, and was also constantly involved in television series, for one of which - Fencers' Outpost - was awarded an Emmy. Such a schedule could not but affect the actor's personal life: Skerrit swore eternal love three times. With his third wife, the actor is now raising an adopted daughter.

Tom Skerritt has light gray eyes, naturally dark hair, fair skin and medium lips. The shape of the face is oval, the forehead is medium, the hair is straight. Tom Skerrit does not change hair color, preferring natural. The actor has a wide nose and a rectangular chin. Tom Skerritt wears glasses, drops his mustache and beard. The actor's height is 183 cm, no tattoos.
