Born August 2, 1976, Godalming, Surrey is an Australian actor originally from England.

Grew up and lived in Australia for a long time. He studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in Sydney.

Until 2006, Sam was best known for his roles in television series in Australia. After 2002, he starred in several episodic roles in Hollywood films ("Hart's War", "The Great Raid"). In 2006, Worthington auditioned for the role of James Bond in Casino Royale.
