Born in Moscow on April 15, 1969.
Mom is a housewife. Dad - Valentin Fedorovich Karmanov (received two higher educations), loved experiments, enrolled his older brother in many circles, and decided to give the younger one to the cinema. So Valentin got to audition for Rolan Bykov's film "Car, Violin and Dog Blot". During the auditions, Valentin touchingly read the poem “Once upon a time there was a small man” by Robert Rozhdestvensky, but he was not included in the film. But with this verse, he got into a short film about screen tests "Invited to the main role", which was seen by director Alexei Saltykov and called into his picture "No Returns". This was Valentine's first film experience.
The director of the film "Old New Year" Oleg Efremov liked the way I behaved in front of the camera, improvised in the frame. On a copy of the script, Valentina Efremov wrote: "To accept the bearer of this to the acting department without entrance exams."
Valentine was almost approved for the role of Jimmy in Treasure Island, but during this period he began to stutter heavily. This went on for a year and a half, and then it passed as unexpectedly as it began.

Valentin wanted to enter the VGIK at the directing department. For this it was necessary to pass exams in mathematics and physics. But he spent half of his school years on the set, which affected the level of knowledge of the school curriculum.
After serving in the army, he worked as a taxi driver, a grain truck driver.
In 1992 he worked as a director at the Orlyonok children's theater, which was opened at an elite school in Zhukovsky near Moscow.
Then I raised pigs and chickens in my dacha, was a soccer field cleaner at Dynamo, and a supply manager for a large gas company. Now he is engaged in individual entrepreneurship in the provision of transport services.
