In 2003, he graduated from the IEP in Paris, and a little later studied at the French State University Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, where he studied in the field of commercial law.

In 2004, Vassim, together with his colleague Yannick Bollore, created WY Productions. In 2010 he became the founder and CEO of Direct Cinema (a subsidiary of the large organization Yannick Bollore Media), and two years later (in 2012) acquired all the shares of WY Productions.

Vassim began his career as a film producer in the mid-2000s. He made his debut while working on Jalil Lespert's short film "De retour" in 2005. He worked on the film with his colleague Yannick Bollore, with whom he collaborated on all films in the early period of his career. After that, a year later, again in collaboration with Yannick Bollore, Vassim acted as co-producer of the drama “Hell” directed by Bruno Sisch. In 2007, Badji was involved in the production of Jalil Lespert's feature film 24 Measures.

After a four-year hiatus in Vassim's creative biography, several films were released at once, in which he acted as a producer.

In March 2015, another film was shown for the first time, on which Beji Vassim worked - the thriller The Ideal Man, directed by Jan Gozlan.
