He is the oldest of five children. He has a sister Germaine and three brothers: Kevin and platinum rappers Corey (C-Murder) and Vichonne (Silkk The Shocker). Master P attended Booker T. Washington High School and Warren Easton High School. Having entered the University of Houston, Miller played on the basketball team and received an athletic scholarship, but eventually moved on to Merritt College in Oakland, California, to major in business in his first year. After the death of his grandfather, Miller inherited $ 10,000. He opened a record store in Richmond, California called No Limit Records, which later became the basis for his own label of the same name.

In 1989 he married Sonya, with whom he has seven children. They divorced in 2014.

On February 15, 1990, Master P released the "Mind of a Psychopath" cassette. In the same year, his brother Kevin Miller was killed in New Orleans. It was announced on December 6, 2010 that Master P is embarking on a new tour called "No Limit Forever International" with his brother Silkk The Shocker and son Maserati Rome. On February 8, 2011, Miller appeared on the rapper Gucci Mane track "Brinks". It was his first recorded song in four years. In early 2012, Master P began recruiting new talent from the streets to his label, including Graphic Designer @ Hitmayne4Hire / HITGPX, to redefine and bring "No Limit" back with a modern touch to all future projects and promotions.

Apart from rap, Master P has also successfully worked as an entrepreneur and investor. Miller had a contract with two different National Basketball Association (NBA) teams: the Charlotte Hornets before the 1998 season and the Toronto Raptors before the 1999 season.

On September 1, 2007, Miller released his first book, Guaranteed Success.

At the end of 2007, Miller was actively involved in politics.

Master P is known for his deep voice, aggressive language, eloquence and his narrative rhymes about poverty, social injustice, drug and drug addiction, police brutality and hope. Miller is also known for his catchy tunes.

Percy Robert Miller (Master of Pi) won the 1999 American Music Awards Favorite Rap / Hip Hop Artist award.

In 2005, Miller was ranked 36th on VH1's 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Artists list. September 29, 2008 Master P's single "Make Em Say Uhh!" Ranked 94th on VH1's 100 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs.

In November 2011, in honor of Master P and No Limit Records, Miller's son Romeo performed at the 2010 Hip Hop Honors with his brother Valentino, cousins ??Lil 'D and Black Don, and uncle Silkk The Shocker, and Trina, Gucci Mane and Mystikal.

On December 11, 2012, DJ 5150 and DJ Hektik released a mixtape in honor of Master P called "Uptown Veteran".

On July 10, 2013, Miller was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, making him the first hip-hop artist to be inducted into that hall.

On June 9, 2016, renowned American artist Usher released the single "No Limit" from his album "Hard II Love", a song that invokes and pays homage to Master P's 1996 hit "Make Em Say Uhh!"
