Born April 10, 1991, Torrance, California, USA - Singer, actress, former model, guitarist and songwriter. Born in Torrance, California, but spent part of her childhood in Seattle, Washington. She was known as a model before joining 78violet (formerly Aly & AJ) with her sister, Alison Michalka. In 2010, Amanda recorded the soundtrack for the film The Secretariat, titled It's Who You Are. The video was released along with the single. Since 2005, she has been a member of 78violet group together with her older sister Alison Michalka.
The single from their album "Insomniatic" titled "Potential Breakup Song" is their most successful single to date, and has received RIAA platinum for over 1,000,000 copies sold.
