Grew up in an Indian family. Growing up in Botella, Washington, he has an older sister named Sabrina. While at school, he attended acting classes.
He began his acting career at the age of 11, playing one of the main roles in the film "Diary of a Wimp".
Karan was raised in the United States and therefore has an American pronunciation. He had to work out with a dialect coach, perfecting his Indian accent for the role. He is best known for his role as Ravi Ross in the Disney television comedy series Jesse.
