American actor. McGorrie was born in New York and appeared in several television shows and short films early in his career. In 2013, he began playing Officer John Bennett on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black. In 2014, McGorrie landed a co-star in the ABC series How to Avoid Punishment for Murder by Shonda Rhimes. In the same year, he landed the lead role in the independent film How He Fell in Love.
