Born April 4, 1958 is an American actress best known for her role as Erica "Yogi" Jones in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black .
Shulman was born in Johnson City, Tennessee and has lived in New York City for most of her life. In the 1990s, she was best known for her regular voice acting on the animated series Doug. She also starred with Meredith Baxter on ABC's short-lived 1996 sitcom The Faculty and appeared in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes. In 2013, she began playing a supporting role on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black, after a 10-year career break for raising her children.
