After graduating from school, he entered the Faculty of Art History at Tel Aviv University, but a year later he transferred to the School of Cinematography. Sam Spiegel in Jerusalem, which he graduated in 1998. His thesis, the short feature film Seahorses about three children whose parents are in the process of divorce, won first prizes at the student film festivals in Lodz and Munich.
