She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and soon after that began acting in commercials, participated in television and film projects.
In 1991, Dyer moved to Los Angeles and continued her acting career there. In 1997 she returned to New York, where she worked as a program coordinator on television, and then as director of documentary programs and producer-supervisor.
In the past few years, Catherine Dyer has reappeared in commercials, television series, movies and theatrical performances.
