Born October 1, 1957 - American television actress and singer. She is best known for her supporting role as Nurse Hali Adam on the NBC series Ambulance. She appeared in nearly two hundred episodes of the show, from the pilot episode in 1994 to the series finale in 2009. From 1997 to 1999, Freeman also starred on a regular basis with the NBC sitcom Job .
Freeman was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware and moved to New York at an early age, where she began her singing career on the stage. In the early 1990s, she moved to Los Angeles, where she continued her career as an actress, appearing with cameo appearances on television. In 1999, she released her debut studio album dedicated to Dina Washington. In 2002, Freeman lost 55 kilograms, after which she began to promote weight loss for medical reasons. After completing Ambulance, Freeman has appeared in the daytime soap operas Days of Our Lives and Daring and Beautiful, and in 2014 took on a supporting role on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black.
