Born February 10, 1941 - American screenwriter.
Together with Tom Stoppard, Norman won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay at the 71st 1999 Awards for Screenplay for Shakespeare in Love; he also shared the same award as co-producer for Best Picture. Norman and Stoppard also won the Silver Bear for Outstanding Personal Achievement at the 49th Berlin International Film Festival.
Other writings include Thug Island and Aviator (1985) .
He wrote the script for one of the episodes of the television series Mission: Impossible.
