Grew up on the Black Infantry reservation. He graduated from Flandreo Indian School in South Dakota and then attended Indian Junior College. Haskell in Lawrence, Kansas, where he received his art degree. Reeves' first job was as a stunt pilot in the 1987 film War Party, which also starred his brother Tim.
For the first time as an actor, Reeves appeared on screens in 1988 at the studio in the film "Gemini".
