Born July 8, 1935 - American singer and actor, best known for his songs recorded with his wife Adie Gorma; The duo Steve and Eydie was a regular on Steve Allen's popular 1950s television program The Tonight Show. Lawrence's ten solo albums have entered the Billboard 200; on the singles lists, "Party Doll" (# 5, 1957) and "Footsteps" (# 7, 1960) rose above the others.
