Born 1964, Barcelona - Catalan anthropologist and writer.
He began his studies as a lawyer, but graduated from the Anthropology Department of the University of Barcelona. In the 1990s, he conducted ethnographic research among the pygmies of the Congo, but was forced to leave the country due to the outbreak of the civil war (1996-1997). In the 2000s, he was mainly engaged in literature.
His novel Cold Skin (2002) was a huge success, he was awarded the Critical Look Award, went through 20 editions in Catalan and 8 editions in Spanish, translated into more than 30 languages, including Chinese; English filmmaker David Slade is going to stage a film based on it.
