Born January 4, 1963, Cambrai, France - French director, screenwriter, actor and producer.
From childhood, Christian was passionate about cinema. Despite this, he decided to follow the advice of his parents and entered an engineering school under the French Ministry of Agriculture.
Love for art, however, made itself felt, and soon Karion, renting a simple camera, began to shoot films. Around this time, Christian met Christophe Rossignon, with whom he began his collaboration: Karion as a director, and Rossignon as a producer of his films.
In 1999, Christian, together with Christophe, released his first short film, Monsieur le depute. In 2001, the director made his debut feature film, The Girl from Paris.
The next work of the director was the picture "Merry Christmas". The film received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success. In addition, the film was nominated for the Cesar Prize, the European Film Academy Prize, the British Academy Prize, Golden Globe and Oscar.
In 2009, Christian Karion made another feature film Farewell, based on real events.
