In 1995 the Norwegian singer Rafl Loewland won the Eurovision Song Contest, for whose song Petter Skavlan wrote the lyrics. Together with Allan Scott, he wrote the screenplay for the adventure film "Kon-Tiki", which in 2013 was nominated for the Oscar and Golden Globes in the category "Best Foreign Language Film."
