At a very young age, he starred in commercials with Michael Jordan. He performed his first game as an actor in a theater on the outskirts of Chicago in the play "The Little Prince". Dreaming of becoming a firefighter, but still leaning towards theater and cinema, Joseph enrolled in the Piven Theater Workshop in Eventon, and then continued his studies of acting at Columbia University in Chicago.
