Born March 10, 1973 in Helsingborg, Sweden - Swedish philosopher, professor at Oxford University, known for his work on the anthropic principle. PhD from London School of Economics (2000) .
In 1998, Bostrom co-founded the World Association of Transhumanists with David Pearce.
In 2004, he founded the Institute for Ethics and New Technologies with James Hedges. In 2005 he was appointed director of the Oxford-based Institute for the Future of Humanity.
