Born November 6, 1953, Glendale is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, and editor.
During his school years he lived in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). After graduation, he was invited to Western College in Los Angeles, but after some time transferred to the USC School of Cinema (now the University of Southern California School of Motion Picture Arts), determined to become a film director.
After completing his internship at the American Film Institute, Underwood began working as a staff director at Barr Films, which specializes in popular science films.
