She made her debut in an episode of Pretty Little Liars, and in 2014 she got one of the lead roles in the movie Jem and the Holograms. She subsequently starred in the science fiction film Equals, and also had a supporting role in the second season of ABC Family's The Pursuit of Life.
In 2015, Perrino starred in the ABC prime-time soap opera Blood and Oil, playing the illegitimate daughter of Don Johnson's character from an affair with a black woman. Two weeks after filming began, she was replaced by Miranda Rae Mayo as ABC decided the character must be older.
