Her mother, Louise Fokner-Corbett, worked in the field of internal communications, father, Chris Ridley, a photographer. Daisy (Daisy) is the youngest of five children; she has two sisters - Kika-Rose (Kika-Rose - Kika-Rose) and Poppy (Poppy - Mac) - and two half-sisters from her father's previous marriage. Kika-Rose works as a model and signed a contract with Models 1. Her great-uncle is Arnold Ridley from the famous British sitcom Daddy's Army (1968-77). Daisy attended the Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire, graduating in 2010.
Ridley has appeared in the television series "Mr. Selfridge", "The Silent Witness", "Catastrophe", "Pinsman". She starred in the short film Blue season, which was released as part of the 48-hour short film competition of the British Film Festival Sci-Fi-London. Starred in the third mini-film Lifesaver, a three-episode interactive first aid film nominated for a British Academy Award. In April 2014, it was announced that Ridley would play Rey, one of the main characters in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She was approved for the role in February 2014. Ridley's choice generally looks like a deliberate move on the part of director J.J. Abrams, wanting to repeat the distribution of the main roles among little-known actors, just as George Lucas did in the first Star Wars movie in 1977. Ridley will also reprise his role as Rey in Star Wars Episode VIII, which is slated for release in 2017.
After receiving several competing offers, Ridley switched from her original agency Jonathan Arun to United Talent Agency in August 2014. In October 2014, after two months of working with UTA, she signed a contract with the Creative Artists Agency.
