Born on January 26, 1926 in the village of Korovye Boloto, Oryol Region. Graduated from the State Institute of Theater Arts (1951, workshop of Iosif Raevsky). Since 1953, he worked at the Kiev Theater of Russian Drama. Lesia Ukrainka. He taught at the Kiev State Institute of Theatrical Art. Karpenko-Kary (1964-1986). People's Artist of Ukraine (1976) .
He passed away on January 3, 2004 in Kiev.
