Nordling attended Rampsey High School, graduating in 1980. He is married to French actress Dimeys, with whom Jeffrey has twin daughters Eloise and Miranda (born 1996) and a youngest daughter Iris.
He made his television debut in 1988. During his film career, he starred in more than 100 films and television series.
Known for his roles in the series "Again and Again", "Dirt", "24", "Desperate Housewives" and "Body Investigation".
