The youngest of four children, Hilary Williams (now Francis), a former university administrator. Macy spent her childhood in Somerset, attended Clutton Elementary School, then graduated from Norton Hill High School.
She borrowed her stage nickname "Maisie" from the popular comic book series "The Perishers" .
In 2011, she gained fame for her debut role as Arya Stark in the TV series Game of Thrones .
