Born February 13, 1934 - American actor.
After graduating from college, he entered Columbia University, graduating in 1955. His acting debut took place on the stage, and in 1961 he signed a contract with the film company Columbia Pictures, subsequently appearing in a number of obscure films at the beginning of the decade. He achieved his first success in 1965 after his role in Stanley Kramer's tragicomedy Ship of Fools. A year later, George Segal was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the drama "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"
