Born August 18, 1953, Rome, Italy - Italian actor, screenwriter, director and producer.

After graduating from the National Academy of Dramatic Art Silvio D'Amico in 1978, he begins his theatrical career in the Italian public theater with Shakespeare's play Measure for Measure at Teatro di Roma.

In 1983, Castellitto began his film career starring in Luciano Tovoli's film General of the Lost Army.
