Born February 29, 1948, Zurich, Switzerland - Swiss writer, playwright, journalist and screenwriter.
After completing his studies, Martin Zutter was Creative Director of the prestigious advertising agency Basler Werbeagentur GGK. Was among the co-founders of the advertising agency Werbeagentur Stalder & Suter and became President of the Art Directors Club of Switzerland. At the same time, he wrote articles for the international popular science magazine Geo.
Since 1991 he has been exclusively engaged in literary activity. From 1992 to early 2004 he edited the weekly Business Class column for Die Weltwoche, and until April 2007 he wrote a similar column for Tages-Anzeiger-Magazin. In the monthly magazine Neue Zurcher Zeitung, he wrote a column entitled "Richtig leben mit Geri Weibel".
Martin Suther's first novel, the action-packed psychological thriller "Small World, or I Haven't Forgotten" (1997), immediately became a bestseller (in Russian it was published in the "Illuminator" series in 2000). For "Small World" Souter was awarded in 1997 the Honorary Prize of the Canton of Zurich, and in 1998 he was awarded the French literary prize Prix du premier roman etranger. A film based on the novel "Small World" was made in 2010.
The second novel is The Dark Side of the Moon and the third is The Ideal Friend.
Zooter calls his first three novels a "neurological trilogy."
After 2010, the writer's novels are becoming more and more entertaining.
Most of the writer's novels have been translated into Russian and published several times.
Martin Suter is a laureate of national and international awards.
