Born April 9, 1968, Chicago, Illinois, USA is an American film director, actor, screenwriter and producer.

Graduated from Colgate University with degrees in European history and philosophy. He also spent a semester at Chicago's Loyola University.

In 2012, Jay Chandrasekhar was nominated for Best Director of a Comedy Series by the NAACP Image Award for Lucky Accident.
