MOP is the abbreviated name of the American hip-hop duo Mash Out Posse, which consists of rappers Billy Danze and Lil 'Fame. These guys are known for their aggressive lyrical style. Despite the fact that they are mostly underground performers, the song "Ante Up", released on the Warriorz album in 2000, brought them the main fame and success. The duo have often and always successfully collaborated with DJ Premier. Lil 'Fame sometimes performs under the name Fizzy Womack. A significant number of tracks have been created under this pseudonym, starting with the second album Firing Squad, released in 1996.Since then, the duo has worked with such famous artists as Big Noyd, Kool G Rap, Teflon, Wu-Tang Clan and others.

Jamal Grinnage (Lil 'Fame) and Eric Murray (Billy Danze) have known each other from an early age, as they grew up together in one of the Brooklyn neighborhoods. There they formed a gang called Mash Out Posse. Some time later, looking for a way to express themselves, the guys decided to create a hip-hop group with the name of their gang. Initially, Jamal was a DJ in the group, but thanks to the support of his older brother, he began to write his first rhymes.

In 1993, MOP debuted the single "How About Some Hardcore?" Death.

How many years have MOPs waited for a chance to prove themselves and finally got it after the release of their second album in 1996. Hoping for the best, the band signed to Relativity Records. Despite the received production responsibilities, the guys were able to maintain their unique energy style and multiply their success. Working with DJ Premier, in 1998 they released a new album called First Family 4 Life. Guests such as Jay-Z, OC of Diggin 'in the Crates Crew and Guru of Gang Starr were invited to create the follow-up album. In 1998, this album became the best-selling album in New York.

For MOP, 2015 can be another rather productive year, because this group still pleases its loyal fans with its work.
