Born April 8, 1932, Auxerre, France - French film director and screenwriter.
Started as an assistant director on the filming of Louis Malle's films Zazie in the Metro and Private Life, the latter of which was also a co-scriptwriter.
In 1964 he co-wrote and co-directed Philippe de Broca on the set of The Man from Rio starring Jean-Paul Belmondo. Rappno will shoot him in one of his first films - "Remarriage" (1971).
In 1973 he again collaborated with de Broca and Belmondo, taking part in the script for the comedy "Magnificent".
In 1990, Rappno's most successful film to date was released - an adaptation of the play "Cyrano de Bergerac" by Edmond Rostand, with Gerard Depardieu and Vincent Perez in the lead roles.
In 2003, the director again removes Depardieu in his film - this time in Bon Voyage!
