American actress, director, screenwriter and producer.
Prior to directing, Jesse worked as a theatrical scriptwriter, performed several roles in theater and film, she wrote the play "Journey To Dollywood", in which she also performed one of the roles, and excerpts from her work "Spine" were published in The Best Women's Monologues from Applause Books.
McCormack's on-screen career began at the turn of the century, when in 2000 she played the role of a hotel clerk in the dramatic thriller The Voices by Dan McCormack. In 2002, as an actress, Jesse appeared in the comedy series Leap of Faith, and three years later (in 2005) in the film by Michael Trager's Tycoons. In 2008, McCormack continued her acting career, this time in the short film Drived by Terry Marathos and Eric Van Wyck, after which she decided to turn to directing.
In 2009, Jesse McCormack completed work on her first short film, The Antagonist. In addition to the fact that she became the director of this picture, she also independently wrote a script for it and acted as a producer. In 2013, Jesse's first feature film, the comedy "Baby as a Gift", was released on the screens according to her own script. The story of the film revolves around Lisa, who cannot get pregnant in any way, and her best friend, Andy, already being pregnant, decides to give the newborn to Lisa. Michelle Monaghan and Rada Mitchell were invited to star in the film. The film was produced by McCormack herself. The world premiere of the film took place on March 11, 2013.
