Born March 24, 1960, Breckerfeld is a German singer and actress, a representative of Neue Deutsche Welle, and a group of the same name that existed in 1981-1987, in which Gabriele Kerner was the soloist. After the breakup of the group, Gabriele Kerner continued her solo career under the name Nena (from the Spanish Nina - little girl).
