Grew up in Orange Park (Florida, USA).
Christy Lynn made her film debut in 1991, playing a role in the episode "Burden of Human Passion" on the television series "Super Power." In total, Smith has played in 69 films and television series. In 2006, she played the role of Ray in the short film Grace and the following year won the Accolade Competition for Best Actor for this role.
Since June 27, 1998 Christy Lynn has been married to actor John Fortson. The couple have two children - daughter Abby Ryder Fortson (born March 14, 2008) and son Joshua Taylor Forston (born December 22, 2012).
