The son of the Russian-Chilean director Sebastian Alarcon.
Denis, with the Spanish surname Alarcon-Ramirez, began his career in the late nineties as a cameraman for news items on Spanish television TVE in Moscow.
After graduating from the camera department of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography in 2003, Denis has already worked as a cameraman and director of photography on television projects.
Today Alarcon-Ramirez is one of the brightest representatives of the new generation of Russian operators. In his work, he manages to harmoniously combine the developments of the classical Russian cinematographic school with the most relevant modern world trends and technologies.
