Born January 25, 1970, Pittsburgh is an American screenwriter, producer, director, and actor.
He was raised Catholic. As a teenager, Chbosky was good at combining classics, horror, and fiction. "His work was heavily influenced by the work of Francis Scott Fitzgerald and Tennessee Williams. Chbosky graduated from Upper St. Clair High School in 1988, after which he met Stuart Stern, the screenwriter for Rebel Without reasons in 1955.
He became famous after writing the novel It's Good to Be Quiet (1999), and also directed the film version of the same book, which stars Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller. Written for La Boheme in 2005 and co-wrote, executive produced and written for the CBS series Jericho, which began airing in 2006. In 2017, Chbosky released the family drama Miracle.
