Born July 24, 1948 of English descent, lives in Australia, actor and film and television producer.
Haywood was born in Essex. He spent his early childhood in Chelmsford before moving to Buckinghamshire, where he attended Royal Grammar School from 1959 to 1965. He then started working in the cellars of local wine shippers before getting a place at drama school. After graduating in 1970, he emigrated to Australia and shortly thereafter, he started working with companies in Sydney theater. He was Artistic Director for the Pro's and Con's Playhouse and Parramatta Jail for two years. He created a drama service for Kiribati National Radio.
